Policy Tools
A collection of tools designed for policy makers, country officials and implementing organizations.
The policy tools are divided up into 3 categories: HIV/AIDS, Family Planning, and Child/Maternal Health tools. Select a category of interest below to learn more about each set of tools.
Family Planning
With these interactive tools you can explore family planning concepts such as the demographic dividend, the proximate determinants of fertility, population momentum, and family planning goals. Each tool lets you select the country to examine. More detailed analysis can be done with the Spectrum software.
HIV/AIDS
These interactive tools can be used to analyze different aspects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in low- and middle-income countries such as the future costs of and funding sources for antiretroviral therapy, the impact of alternative funding and resource allocation scenarios for a select number of countries, and a database of HIV prevention intervention unit costs.
Child/Maternal Health
The LiST module of Spectrum projects the changes in child and maternal survival by cause of death as a result of changes in the coverage of different child and maternal health interventions. The interactive tool here examines specifically the impact of increased intervention coverage on stillbirths.
